On Wednesday, presumptive Republican Presidential nominee, and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney gave a speech on the nation's educational crisis at the The Latino Coalition's Annual Economic Summit in Washington, D.C., and called it "the civil rights issue of our era."

Romney's address on the educational disparities skirted around other hot-button issues affecting the country's Latinos, particularly immigration reform and the federal DREAM Act -- a bill that would provide a legal process for undocumented youth who were brought to this country as children -- until Lucia Allain, 20, interrupted him.
