Fresh clashes have broken out on the Thai-Cambodian border around a disputed temple just a day after both sides agreed a ceasefire, a Cambodian military commander said.
"We are fighting now, they started firing at us first," the source, who declined to be named, said, referring to Thai troops across the border.
The latest outbreak of violence, which erupted at 6:35pm local time, follows an agreement to halt fighting between the neighbouring nations.
A witness said about 20 rounds went off in the vicinity of an 11th-century Preah Vihear temple, which is claimed by both sides.
Earlier clashes left at least five people dead in the area.
"We are receiving reports of fresh shooting right now. But there is no report of casualties," Thai army spokesman Colonel Sansern Kaewkamnerd said.
Although sporadic clashes in the area are not unusual, it is rare for the two sides to fight over consecutive days.
