Cheerleaders are supposed to be sweet young things that capture the ideal view of youth. At least that’s what cheerleaders used to be until mom Laura Vikmanis decided to pick up her pom-poms and bring the role of cheerleader into the modern age.
The 42-year-old mom-of-two may be one of the oldest folks on the sidelines every time she puts on her BenGALS uniform to cheer on the NFL team, but she’s proud of the fact that she can serve as an inspiration for other moms about just what is possible over the age of 40.
