'The Night Circus': Join The Discussion

May 23, 2012
Hello, dear readers!

This weekend the HuffPost Book Club will launch into our latest pick, "The Night Circus" by Erin Morgenstern, a much-heralded fantasy novel.

Morgenstern wrote her first book as part of National Novel Writing Month, also known as "nanowrimo" and the book has since been compared to "Harry Potter" and "Twilight," among others. The book has even spurred its own robust fan community, the rêveurs.

Two major themes that are on our minds, as we dig into the first 50 or so pages, are the realities in magic, the suspension of belief, and what it means to learn.

On Sunday the 27th we'll begin our live discussions. Since the book has a slightly different timeline than we're used to, we'll be reading 60 or so pages every week, give or take a chapter.

Click here to join our discussion and tell us if you'll be joining our reading. We hope to hear all of your thoughts while we jump into this next reading choice. And as always, email us to tell us your thoughts at hpbookclub@huffingtonpost.com.

See you on the discussion post!
